Li-Ying has always been dedicated to the harmless disposal of medical waste. Comprehensive experience and multi-dimensional capabilities enable us to manufacture sterilization equipment with superior performance, also fosters continuous and in-depth collaboration with upstream and downstream clients. Thanks to the software team and the factory with strong customization capabilities, which allows us to focus on addressing the unique needs of different regions for our clients. Li-Ying's services in healthcare waste management extend from the collection of biohazardous waste at source to the final disposal of sterilized products, and the use of smart tools is something Li-Ying is always exploring in its quest for stringent management standards, low environmental impact, and cost-effective solutions.
Medical Waste Management (MWM) systems are considered to be one of the most important municipal systems today. In 2024, Li-Ying started an in-depth collaboration with a municipal healthcare system. A customized and optimized design of an intelligent hospital waste disposal management system was created, which combines the strengths of both software and hardware. This intelligent medical waste management system serves a city of 2.4 million people, managing the full life cycle of medical waste, from collection at the healthcare facility to the medical waste disposal center. We will introduce you to its application for smart waste management within hospitals based on the hospital waste collection trolley.
Smart Medical Waste Trolley, that's what we call it. An excellent waste collection trolley, it comes with a networked waste management system with touch screen control panel, weighing scale that connect to the system, a sturdy construction with a sharp exterior design, and an electrically assisted chassis to help you use it with ease.
After verifying that the equipment is functioning properly, the operator logs in using personal authentication, linking themselves to the Li-Ying Smart Trolley. They then proceed through designated routes to various hospital departments to prepare for medical waste collection.
Upon arriving at each hospital department in sequence, the operator scans the department’s identification code to register the waste source.
The medical waste bags from the department are collected, labeled with QR code stickers, and weighed. The QR code is then scanned, uploading data such as the source department, weight, label, and timestamp to the cloud server. This allows for seamless monitoring, process management, traceability, and alerts via the internet. Alternatively, RFID-tagged waste bags can be used with sensors for even more convenient waste management.
The operator performs the storage entry process, verifies the quantities, and signs to confirm.
The collector and the smart trolley return to the hospital waste temporary storage area, where they are counted again and placed in transport containers. If the waste storage time exceeds the legal limit or the storage space approaches its capacity, the system sends an alert and automatically issues a transfer request to the waste disposal company. After a transfer specialist from the waste disposal company and the hospital waste manager verifies and checks the waste, it is transported to the medical waste disposal facility for safe and compliant processing.
