Jincheng City, known as Jianxing in ancient times, is located in the southeastern part of Shanxi Province. It is located in a basin, surrounded by mountains and relatively flat in the center, with two rivers flowing throughout the city.

History

In addition, Jincheng is also known as the Coal City. The city is rich in natural resources, especially in underground treasures, which are the most abundant in the province. There are more than 20 kinds of mineral deposits discovered in the territory, and among the various kinds of mineral deposits, coal and iron reserves are the largest. In ancient times, it was the town of coal and iron, and the place of origin of "Yanga Ancient Sword" in the Warring States Period. Coal from Jincheng is burned in the furnaces of many provinces throughout China.
